I was waiting to hear why African Americans, Black Americans, need to beware? Sounds like a problem for AMERICANS. I live in LA and the streets are horrid. Riding my bike through the neighborhood and there is trash everywhere, not just regular trash but mattress, chairs; seemingly everything that was inside of the encampment will be left on the street when it is moved. The streets reek of urine where you can hardly breathe. It’s really bad. The Mayor is providing housing for the homeless here which is great. Each state should address this issue accordingly. And not by shipping people to warmer states.

Shoutout to young Kenyans for protesting and holding the government accountable. We have a lot to learn from each other in our different struggles of dealing with terrible systems. Black Americans have a rich history of resistance and agency for over 400 years especially in a country where they are outnumbered. Much to admire and learn from. Young Kenyans are reclaiming their rights under neo-colonialism and tap into the strength of freedom fighters at independence. For us it is the lies of Dedan Kimathi and Mau Mau, the labor movement under Tom Mboya and other political agitators. The second wave of liberation for multiparty democracy led by Wangari Maathai, Raila Odinga and Kenneth Matiba. We are now in the third wave Gen Z globally will save us.
